Anotarity respects your privacy. We are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains how the Anotarity app processes information and what data (if any) is collected or stored.

2. What Anotarity Does

Anotarity helps you convert your spoken voice into structured, AI-enhanced notes using OpenAI's advanced transcription (Whisper) and text processing (GPT-4o mini) services. All voice processing is done via secure HTTPS channels. Your notes are stored locally on your device and synchronized to your private iCloud account.

We do not collect or store any personal data, including voice recordings or transcribed text, on Anotarity's servers.

4. How Your Data Is Handled

Microphone: Used only when you actively record a voice note.
Voice Transmission: Your voice is securely sent to the OpenAI Whisper model for transcription and to GPT-4o mini for structuring.
No Storage on Our Servers: Your voice and text are never stored on Anotarity's servers. All processing is transient.
Local Storage Only: Your notes are stored only on your device and synchronized to your private iCloud storage if enabled.
No Advertising or Tracking: Anotarity does not use any third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics frameworks.

5. Permissions Explained

Microphone: Required to capture your voice note.
Calendar and Reminders: Only used (with your permission) to create events and reminders directly on your device. No data is sent to our servers.
iCloud: Used to sync your notes across your devices via Apple infrastructure.

6. Data Sharing

Anotarity does not sell, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. The only external services used are:

OpenAI API (for voice-to-text and text structuring): Your voice and text are sent securely to OpenAI, processed, and deleted per their data usage policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Anotarity is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Security

We implement strong encryption and secure HTTPS connections for all communications. No user data is stored on Anotarity servers at any time.
